Do you reap the benefits of a healthy dose of summer sun exposure? During the summer months, I find my productivity is higher and I feel much better than I did during those long, LONG New England winter months.

Research suggests that getting about 10 minutes of direct sunlight, before applying a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15, may shake off the wintertime blues. Just ten minutes of sun exposure can reverse seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
According to Dr. Michael Holic, author of The UV Advantage, the body makes Vitamin D when sunlight touches the skin. He says, it is nearly impossible to get adequate amounts of Vitamin D through diet alone. Vitamin D prevents osteoporosis, breast cancer and depression. Healthy sun exposure is the only reliable way to generate Vitamin D in your own body, according to Dr. Holic.
As a successful entrepreneur, you owe yourself that ten minutes of sun! While summer is here, get outside and enjoy it!
