The following recommended resources are services and tools that we use here at 1st VA on a regular basis, for our company, as well as for our clients.  We won’t recommend anything that we haven’t used and can refer with confidence.

Wordpress

This is the blogging platform that we use ourselves, and that we recommend to our clients.  Wordpress is customizable to incorporate with your branding – is customizable and great functionality.

1 Shopping Cart

We use this ‘one-stop’ service for our newsletter, autoresponders, products and affiliate program.  The interface has improved greatly in recent months and our clients like the fact that it no longer requires either plain text or knowledge of html.

Aweber

Aweber is a great service for newsletters and autoresponders.  We use this with several of our clients and have been quite happy.  The customer service is fantastic!

Audio Acrobat

This is a great tool to get audio on your website!  It’s easy to use and reasonably priced.  Record teleclasses, client raves, welcome messages.  It has great functionality and customizable ‘Play Now’ buttons.

Basecamp

This is what we use with our clients for our project management tool.  This helps us to keep client tasks and projects streamlined and organized.  Our clients love it and now have begun using it with their own clients.

Data Deposit Box

We use this to regularly back up all of our files.  It’s safe, secure and, unfortunately, has been tested to the extreme during a pc ‘crash’ about a year ago.  Everything was recovered safely, securely and accurately and we’ve been raving fans ever since.

Bluehost hosting

We’ve been hearing great things about Bluehost lately that we had to include it in our list.  We’re learning that the customer service is amazing, as well as the very competitive fee for hosting!  It’s next on our list to try out.
